A car wash will be held at Wendy’s on Geer Road on Saturday, Oct. 4 to help raise money for the funeral costs of the Turlock father and son who drowned on a San Francisco beach on Sept. 24. Jose Garcia Sr., of Turlock, 47, and Jose Garcia Jr., 24, of Merced, were swimming in the ocean at Ocean Beach when they were overcome by waves.
