From the Pitman High School auditorium to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, Brett Nichols’ fame continues to rise.

Who’s Bad, the self-described “World’s No. 1 Michael Jackson Tribute Band,” was so smitten with Nichols’ picture-perfect moonwalk that they have asked him to perform with the band in San Francisco next month.

According to a band spokesperson, Nichols will take part in the performance of “Billie Jean.” He will dance to “the same song he went viral to,” the spokesperson said.

Nichols, a Pitman High School junior, became an instant celebrity last Wednesday thanks to a spot-on impersonation of Jackson’s dance moves.

A YouTube video of Nichols’ Pitman Talent Rally performance, set to Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” went viral after a California State University, Stanislaus student posted it to reddit. More than 14 million people have now watched Nichols’ performance.

Who’s Bad will perform at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom at 8 p.m. June 27. Tickets are $20 to $30, and are available online.

The very special Who’s Bad concert is being held in memory of the five-year anniversary of Jackson’s death.

Who’s Bad has performed together for 10 years. The tribute band has played more than 1,000 shows across North America and abroad, in countries like Singapore, China, Germany, Brazil, Peru and Holland.
