Under its formula, BestColleges.com considered academics, student engagement, percentage of Hispanic student and membership in the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
“Many Hispanic students are the first in their families to attend college, so it is important for them to choose the right school- one with a support system that will help them navigate degrees, financial aid, and their school and social obligations,” BestColleges.com said when notifying CSU Stanislaus officials of the ranking.
In the top 50 colleges for Hispanic students, there were a dozen other CSU campuses and nearby UC Merced, which was ranked 11th in the nation.
