Giambelluca worked through the Great Recession to ensure the University’s finances were well managed and carried no serious deficit, and the CSU Stanislaus Foundation’s investments were stabilized so scholarships could still be awarded to students.
President Joseph F. Sheley said a search for a new vice president will soon begin and he praised Giambelluca’s accomplishments.
“What I have most enjoyed while working with him is that his interests extend well beyond those of the traditional campus business officer,” said Sheley. “He enjoys discussions with faculty members about research. He likes to talk shop with staff members. He relates well to and enjoys the respect of the community.”
