A cold winter night couldn’t stop a group of motorcyclists from taking a ride through Turlock. The group of around 10 motorcyclists were seen riding down Geer Road Tuesday night, with some decked out with Christmas decorations.
Potholes like the one pictured line Tampa Street, which runs in front of the Turlock Fitness and Racquet Club. Many residents complain about some roads in the City of Turlock being repaired when they may not necessarily need the repairs, however those roads are in assessment districts.
Bank of America customers will soon have another ATM easily accessible 24 hours a day. The new ATM has been built in the Valley View Plaza parking lot, located on Geer Road, but is not yet open to the public.
Drivers looking for the Taylor Road exit from northbound Highway 99 may have a little more trouble finding it. The sign for Taylor Road, which is just after the northbound Monte Vista Avenue exit, is knocked down and sitting inches from falling into the embankment.
With only few days till Christmas, Turlockers were lining up at the Post Office on Friday to send off the last minute packages. The United States Postal Service recommends packages sent by Priority Mail Express be mailed by Dec. 23 in order to arrive on Dec. 24.
Clear skies and a breezy Thursday made for excellent kite flying conditions around Turlock. One Turlocker, pictured here, was flying a huge kite at Summerfaire Park, located 1350 Fulkerth Rd.
Earl Elementary Third-Grade Teacher JoDee Albritton is retiring after 31 years teaching. Albritton was honored by the Turlock Unified School District Board of Trustees and Earl Elementary Assistant Principal Margaret Osmer says her warm, calm, nurturing demeanor will be missed.
